Principal's Message

I am extremely delighted to present the 'Handbook ofInformation-cum-Prospectus' for the academic session 2024-25. Our college, with the vision "Gyan, Swabhiman and Kalyan" is committed to harness highest potential of its entrants. Ensconced in the verdurous lap of "Solah Singi Dhar", the college is imparting quality education to the students in the streams of Arts, Commerce and Science. Besides this, self finance Bachelor courses in Computer Applications and Business Administration along with newly introduced Post Graduate Programmes viz. MA English, MA Hindi, M.Com. & Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA). These courses have been instrumental in catering to the needs of the students from the far flung areas in the vicinity of Bangana. An add-on-course on 'Spoken English Training' that aims at honing the communication skills ofthe aspirantsis also operational in this college since 2018. Nestled in the lap of nature, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Degree College, Bangana, Dist. Una is quite spacious with state-of-the-art infrastructure with eco-friendly and noisefree environment. There is a conducive environment of learning in the institution which encourages the students to take part in various activities besides their studies. To ensure the holistic grooming of the students, ample facilities of cultural, extra-curricular, co-curricular and sports activities are provided to them. Various platforms like NCC, NSS, Rovers & Rangers, Eco club, Red Ribbon club etc. remain active as an opportunity for students to explore and realize their potential. The college has a well-equipped library to facilitate the students in their studies. Well educated teaching and non teaching staff leaves no stone unturned in the chiseling and honing their skills. The institution resolves to remain committed to sustain and enhance the core values enshrined in our culture and to equip the students with the strength of knowledge and character to face the challenges oflife. I wish my students a blissful, fruitful, and memorable stay in this institution. Before I conclude, I am reminded of the words of Dr. A.P.J.
