The topic of the special lecture was India-US relations in the context of the recent US presidential election and Donald Trump's presidency. The chief speaker of the special lecture was Professor Sikandar Negi, Head of the Department of Political Science. Professor Sikandar, Head of the Department of Political Science, said that after Donald Trump becomes President, India-US relations may be affected in various areas. In the social context, Trump had built good relations with the Indian community during his last tenure and he can continue it this time as well. However, his immigration policies may become strict, which may affect H-1B visa holders. Trade: Under Trump's "America First" policy, import duties on India may increase, which may affect the Indian IT, pharmaceutical and textile sectors, however, the policy of distancing from China can also bring opportunities for India. Investment, the Trump administration may encourage American companies to invest in India by shifting from China. Political Defense and Security, the Trump administration will try to curb China's expansionist policies, which may benefit India. The Quad alliance may become stronger and India-US defense, security and intelligence sharing may become stronger. The partnership between the two countries can be further strengthened. For a democratic country to operate its system to its full potential, public participation is imperative for which gradual circulation of information to the mass or number of people is necessary, which is called mass communication media. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government College Bangana and Government College Dhaneta. On this occasion, Dr. Ramesh Thakur, Principal, Government College Bangana said that this type of Memorandum will be in line with our goals of enhancing educational quality, partnering with other reputed institutions for College Bangana. The main objective of this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is to establish a cooperative framework for cooperation in academic, sports, cultural, science and computer laboratories, skill development and educational projects in areas of mutual interest, he also said that, as per this MoU, we are exchanging our faculty and students, exchanging best practices, conducting skill-based certification courses, organizing collaborative workshops and training for students and teachers, organizing collaborative seminars and conferences, organizing special lectures on various fields by national and international scholars, etc. Important things like reputation, sharing of science, computer and IT laboratories among students and faculty, organizing industrial field/academic tours, submitting joint projects/conference proposals to funding agencies like CSIR, ICSSR, UGC etc. will be important. This MoU will be in force for a period of five years and can be extended for an additional five years with mutual written consent of both the colleges. Apart from this, the students of both the colleges will get an opportunity to exchange and know the culture of their region. The expiry of this MoU will not have any effect on the completion of any project or program running at the time of the MoU.
